Once you submit your application form online, your chosen FE college will send you an email inviting you to submit a portfolio. You will also receive step by step instructions on how to upload your portfolio to an online platform.
What is a portfolio?
- Your portfolio is a collection of work that showcases your interests, your enthusiasm and your technical abilities
- Submitted work can be finished or can be a work in progress
- It should show your creativity, curiosity, your interests and your ability to explore a theme
- You can include schoolwork as well as any other creative piece that you have made along your journey
What should the portfolio include?
For the Immersive Media Production portfolio, we are looking for you to submit 5 pieces of work.
A piece of work could be one of the following; a script, photograph, drawing, montage, video, animation, application, game, 3D renders, audio recording or any other piece of creative work.
The portfolio must also contain a short document that explains briefly how each piece was created (no more than 300 words per piece). Please let us know the methods you have used and the equipment/software that was involved in the creative process.
How will the portfolio be assessed?
The portfolio will be assessed on a pass/fail basis. You may also be called for a short informal interview.
