Heritage in 360°: A Photography Workshop for Beginners
As part of Heritage Week 2025, IADT hosted a beginner-friendly 360° Photography Workshop at the Carnegie Hub in Dún Laoghaire. The workshop, led by Rob Griffin, welcomed heritage enthusiasts, digital creators, and first-time photographers eager to explore new ways of capturing and sharing local history.
Participants were introduced to the essentials of 360° photography and video before heading to the nearby Oratory, where a DLR representative gave a guided historical tour. Cameras were provided, allowing everyone to experiment hands-on with immersive photography techniques while engaging directly with the site’s heritage.
Back at the Carnegie Hub, the group learned how to edit, process, and publish their images, including how to share content on platforms such as Google Maps and social media. Attendees left with new creative skills and a fresh perspective on how digital tools can bring heritage to life in innovative ways.
The workshop was proudly supported by the DLR Heritage Office and the Heritage Council as part of Ireland’s annual celebration of culture and heritage.
